THIRD COUNTRY'S

MALI

Our group is looking into a third world country named Mali. Third world countries are very poor and have small homes, hardly any food, and no medicine. The population works as hard as they can just for their lives. Scroll down to experience what these people have to go through very day........
PEOPLE

Imagine living in a house the size of your closet.... maybe even smaller. Imainge looking at your stomach and being able to count all of your ribs. The people of Mali have to go trough this everyday. Many of these people dont even know how to read. They jump in excitment for half a bottle of water. The people are all always working and hardly sleep. They have one set of clothes. Think of what you had to go thorugh everyday if you were them.
Third world country - Once you get to this site type in Third World County (make sure to Cap the T, W, C) in the search box at the top and click the video. Also make sure not to type it in on the "search your school search!"

HOMES

The homes of Mali are exremely poor. Some houses are made out of clay, mud, wood with a hay roof, or even carved in a mountain. Imagine sitting down in your house while it was raining outside. If your house had a hay roof, the inside of your house would be wet. Imagine having your bed and belongings soaked. Some houses are made on stilts. When the river floods, the whole enire silts part is covered in water. When that happens, every time the people go outside, they have to go in the river. They have to be excellent swimmers because they have no lifevests.

CLOTHING

The people in Mali have little to no clothing. If families don't have enough money to pay for clothing for everybody in the family, usually the adults get the

clothing. Boy children usually have no shirt and just pants. However girls get full clothing, except when they're a baby.

 Cities

The cities in Mali are very poor. They don't have a very good water source, and most of the water is dirty. There are no paved sidwalks in Mali, just dirt. The roads are dirt too. There are no specialties in Mali such a Coke and Pepsi. 2% of Mali's population has cars. If you were to count how many cars are in Four Winds subdivision, that's how many cars are in their whole country.
