Traditions: Yacht races are held across the country on Christmas Day.(This tradition honors the Explorers that came to this land by boat.) Tropical Breezes Music Festival takes place every summer for 2 weeks in July. It is a time to celebrate the creation of Tropicano. (This festival includes our signature Blue Crab, some groovy tropical tunes, and featured artwork of the summer!)
Clothing: Very tropical, and loose fun pieces. Tank tops with fun patterns, and jean shorts is a woman's usual. A men's outfit it usually khaki shorts, and a t-shirt.
Natural Resources: Precious stones such as diamonds, sapphires, pearls, and gold are among Tropicano's most prized natural resources. These drew people to the country. Especially the gold rush of 1802.
Jobs/Occupations: Fishermen are very common and get paid a lot because Tropicano Island has many seafood restaurants that go through seafood very quickly. Teachers get paid the most money because education in Tropicano is our top priority. A Jackaroo is a young man that is in training to become a stockman, and a Jillaroo is the same thing but for a woman. A police officer (or firefighter or anyone that works hard for the community) gets paid a lot for all the hard work they do to keep Tropicano a safe environment for everyone.
Bodies of Water: The Pacific Ocean is right on the coasts of Tropicano Island. People spend lots of time down at the beaches.
Government: The type of government in Tropicano Island is a Monarchy, meaning the country is ruled by a Queen just to watch out for Tropicano. She also makes the laws, but all the citizens of Tropicano have a say in some of the law making. Tropicano just wants to be a safe country where anyone feels welcome and at home.
